The demand for web development and the web will continue to grow. The number of online services that have been created today was not the same even 5 years ago. Everything from grocery shopping is now online based. There will always be a need for web developers to maintain or extend them. 1. 7-8 years ago I thought that app development might eat up many jobs of web development. However, in 2022-23, it seems that web development jobs have increased faster than the demand for mobile development. This is what I think.
2. We do a lot of things with mobile that are all possible in entertainment, communication and shortcuts. Demand for apps and app developers has definitely increased in these areas. It will increase further.
3. But professional work is mostly done with desktop and web sites. And I don't see any chance of that changing in the next few years. For example, you will do assignments, make presentations, edit videos, design products, do web coding, marketing managers make marketing plans. Accountant will calculate. Literary literature will be written. Those who work in banks will work as bankers. Office in court. Use laptop or desktop everywhere. And so there is more need for website. A good amount of photo editing. Writing too many large reports or too many emails. Then the website is needed. This will require more web developers.
4. Developing countries especially Bangladesh, India, South America, Africa and a large part of the Middle East are slowly getting connected to the Internet. In doing that, digitization is needed in many places. And the web application needs it. For example, schools or universities did not have web sites before. Now it is necessary. Who will make them? Their demand will increase in the future. Although many people try to do some work with mobile. But most of the professional level work is not possible with mobile. Then the need for websites and web developers will be more.
5. Remote jobs are slowly entering Bangladesh. A little bit is starting to come in. Especially jobs that can be done remotely. One of them is web development, programming, etc. So, that's why the job may increase in the future
6. The number of IT companies in the country is gradually increasing. For example, edtech will be more in the future. Delivery service. E-commerce is happening and will be more. It can be assumed that the demand of web developers for these will increase in the next few years.
7. One more thing - the technology of the web is gradually advancing. From today the tasks we used to do with the website are now more complex and powerful tasks are done on the website. And five years from now surely more and more advanced work will be done with websites. Previously created sites will be out of date or unusable. So, it will take many more web developers to update them.
Then it is not right to imagine what will happen after 7-10-15-20 years. Because nowadays the world is changing very fast.
